Fulton County Chairman Calls For Criminal Investigation Of R. Kelly

The Chairman of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners has asked authorities to open a criminal investigation of R. Kelly, citing new evidence after the singer was recently accused of sexually exploiting and holding young girls against their will.

Friday, Commission Chairman John Eaves said investigators have uncovered new information surrounding the allegations against Kelly that’s “severely raised the level of concern.”
“I believe the citizens of Fulton County deserve this investigation,” Eaves said at a news conference Friday morning. “I”m going to stress to the [Fulton County] district attorney that a full investigation is done because I believe questions should be answered.”
The chairman released the following statement Friday morning ahead of the news conference:

“A detailed local investigation by the John Creek Police Department has provided key information that we believe is enough evidence that gives the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office all it needs to advance a criminal investigation of the well-known allegations.
Today, I am asking District Attorney Paul Howard and his investigative officers and prosecutors to fully review the report of the Johns Creek Police and follow every lead—no matter where it leads, or who it implicates, and bring those persons to swift justice.
No one should be above the law, because of their income or their zip code. And we will not allow our young girls and young women to be preyed upon by predators or anyone who aims to brainwash and strip them of their human dignity and their right to be free.
Again, as a father of a teenager daughter and a responsible leader in this community, we have a moral responsibility to stand up for people who cannot protect themselves. Today, I am asking our Fulton County Justice officials to do just that. If we won’t protect our young girls and young women, who will?”
Last week, a couple held a news conference in front of a house in Johns Creek and claimed Kelly was holding their daughter against her will, but Johns Creek Police looked into the allegation and said they had no criminal investigation underway.

Following the allegations, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners sent a letter to Live Nation asking the entertainment company to cancel Kelly’s Aug. 25 concert. Live Nation contracts with the county to plan and promote events at the county-owned amphitheater just outside Atlanta.

Eaves said board members decided to ask the concert promoter to cancel the event after hearing from “many” county residents who objected to holding it the public-owned site.

“They object to their tax dollars providing a stage for an entertainer who is repeatedly in a swirl of controversy surrounding the sexual exploitation of women and underage girls,” Eaves said.
Eaves said even though Kelly hasn’t been charged with or convicted of any crimes related to the media report, he felt comfortable speaking out “on a moral basis.” But he acknowledged that Live Nation is contracted to book and promote concerts on the county’s behalf and has the final say about whether the event will go on. He said county officials aren’t considering any legal action. Chairman Eaves urged people who oppose the August 25 concert to protest the event at The Wolf Creek Amphitheater.
The R&B artist has denied any wrongdoing. His publicist released the following statement:

“Mr. Robert Kelly is both alarmed and disturbed by the recent revelations attributed to him. Mr. Kelly unequivocally denies such accusations and will work diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name.”

R. Kelly holding young women against their will in an abusive sex ‘cult’: 31 year den mother trains them for his sexual pleasure.

According to a report by Buzzfeed, one girl’s parents have gone to the police with accusations that R. Kelly is running an abusive sex-obsessed cult that had gotten ahold of their daughter.

The mother, who goes by “J” in the report, tells Buzzfeed about how her 19-year-old daughter met R. Kelly backstage at a concert in Atlanta with the promise that R. Kelly was going to help propel her music career. Now, two years after the meeting, J has lost control of her daughter, who is living with R. Kelly and appears to be completely brainwashed.

J and her husband Tim say that their daughter is “being held against her will” in what they call a “cult.” Cheryl Mack (R. Kelly’s former personal assistant) and Kitti Jones and Asante McGee (two women who lived and had sexual relationships with the star at various times) confirmed that the singer has about six women living in properties under his name. They say that he completely controls every aspect of their lives down to what they eat and when they bathe. They say he also dictates how they engage in sex, and that he records the encounters.

The women claim that R. Kelly has a 31-year-old den mother that trains the new women on how R. Kelly likes to be pleasured. 19-year-old Halle Calhoun was also suggested to be one of Kells’ kept women, being described by Buzzfeed as “a 19-year-old model who has been photographed in public with Kelly and named on music gossip websites — a rarity among the women in his circle.” There’s also reportedly a 25 and 26-year-old who have been living with R. Kelly since they were 18 and 19, and an 18-year-old girl who is said to be the singer’s “favorite — his number-one girl.”

Women in the cult are referred to as R. Kelly’s “Babies” and he forces them to call him “Daddy.” They also have to ask permission to leave their assigned rooms in his guest house and can only dress in jogging suits, as to not expose their figure when they go out. When they break the rules, Mack says R. Kelly physically abuses the women. Jones claims the singer held her against a tree and slapped her outside of a Subway restaurant in 2013 because she was being too friendly with the male cashier.

“R. Kelly is the sweetest person you will ever want to meet,” McGee said. “But Robert is the devil.”

Since last seeing her in December, J has only heard from her daughter two other times, the most recent being a “Happy Mother’s Day from me and Rob” text message.

A welfare check in January did not lead to any charges. One of the girls in Georgia just told authorities she was fine and did not want to be bothered. Consent also comes into play because all of the women in this “cult” are of legal age — 17 in Illinois and 16 in Georgia.

Playas Have Strength Of Spirit

Playas always have the strength of spirit. It is out of a dead lion that even the rabbits pull the hairs, for there is no sneering at courage; if concession is made in one instance, it will have to be made in a second, and so on even to the last: and the same effort required to win late, would have availed more if expanded earlier.

The courage of the spirit is more than the courage of the body: it is like a sword sheathed in the scabbed of your heart, and ready for the occasion. It is the protector of your person: but more against the hurt of its soul than the hurt of flesh. Many have been rich in mind, but because they were poor in this courage of the spirit, they lived as the dead., and died for what they lacked, for it is not without plan that nature has joined the sweetness of the honey with the sharpness of the sting in the bee; nerves and bones make up the body, let not its spirit be all softness.
